At Beyond the Breast, my goal is to help educate, empower and support expectant and new parents to overcome challenges and meet their infant feeding goals with confidence.

I’m Heather Martin, IBCLC, and I’m so glad you found me! Whether you are brand new to this whole baby thing or adding another little one to your crew, feeding challenges can pop up and throw you for a loop. From milk supply concerns to tongue or lip ties to bottle-feeding, I’d be honored to help along the way. Breastfeeding support should be proactive- from prenatal prep & care to weaning- I’m here to support you!

Whether you are feeding directly, exclusively pumping or using a combination of breast and bottle feeding from the comfort and privacy of your home, my office or virtually, consults are a time to discuss your concerns and help optimize feeding sessions.

You don’t want trouble feeding your baby, especially in the early days. You know you’re going to be sleep deprived and sore as you heal and get the hang of things. You don’t have to worry or stress about nourishing your baby too.

    This bundle is designed to wrap you in support from the very start. With a prenatal visit to lay the foundation, a “Baby’s Here” visit to get feeding off to a strong start, two follow-up sessions to fine-tune and troubleshoot, one virtual visit for flexible support, and three full months of ongoing access—you’re never alone in this.

    We’ll check in between visits, answer the “Is this normal?” questions, and cheer you on through the big wins and the messy middle. Beyond Beginnings is here to help you move through pregnancy, postpartum, and feeding with confidence, clarity, and care.

    Initial latch & Positioning assistance, assess initial milk transfer, assess breast health and oral assessment of baby.

    Put together a care plan for your first two weeks at home

    Visit 3: Follow Up
    Assessment of weight gain, milk transfer and your care plan- we’ll make any adjustments that are needed

    Visit 4: Follow up 2

    Reassessment of care plan, Pump assessment/flange fit if we haven’t already.

    Visit 5: Follow up 3
    Reassessment of flanges/pump, prepare for return to work (if doing so), review care plan and any concerns

    Virtual Visit: 30 min Virtual session to use as a follow up or check-in

    We’ll make sure you are feeling confident from pregnancy to breast for the coming months with confidence.

Concierge Care

Concierge care in the comfort of your home, my office or virtually to help you meet your infant feeding goals.

Sessions generally include pre/post feed weights, latch assessment & discussion of primary concerns. Pump flange assessment and set up may also be done. Personalized care plans are created for every visit.
